Attorney General Geoffrey Cox today faced questions about his legal advice over the prorogation of Parliament, as MPs returned to the House of Commons this morning, The AG’s advice was leaked yesterday, indicating he advised over whether the five-week suspension – known as prorogation – would be within the law. Mr Cox told MPs he will consider whether the public interest might require a “greater disclosure” of advice given to the Government on the prorogation.
